Unboxing a dream

Such a moment in every fledgling author’s career! My very first shipment of my very first novel has arrived from my publisher, Echo Publishing Australia…

And talking about ‘sharing the magic of books’…I made my Mum and Dad watch me open my box of books, because I don’t know that we ever grow out of opening presents in front of excited parents. (Actually had to hold my dad back from opening the box FOR me, though.)

My novels are now placed oh-so-casually all over my house, which should please my family greatly. (Just had to shove over a few trophies and comfort bears and whatnot to make space.)

Able to confirm these beautiful novels smell like REAL BOOKS — one of the best smells in all the world. Somehow, the smelling-real has been especially thrilling.
