Unicorn in a teacup

Today is a unicorn day…

I have: the house entirely to myself once more — after the return of four children to school, and one husband to work — dreamy rain outside, zero extracurricular activities scheduled for the afternoon, and I’m taking a whole day’s pause in both writing and editing. The first in many months!

A unicorn day*. Rare, elusive, but exist they do.

Such a day demands countless cups of fancy flavoured tea, something sweet and home-baked, books to catch up on, maybe even one of those ‘Netflix Binges’ everyone’s always talking about.

The school run rolls around all too quickly though, so I’m off to hide my MacBook lest I can’t resist the urge to ‘just tinker with my manuscript for one minute…’
